From The Wall Street Journal (11/30/12). I can’t see most of the WSJ’s online content, because I don’t pay to subscribe — but I can view this one, and I hope you can too. A quote (on what Barclays, an investment bank, forecasts):
[Barclays] projects that further improvement in demand, led by the U.S. and China, will push copper prices to an average of $3.90 a pound during the current quarter and $3.99 a pound in the first three months of 2013.
While copper has rallied, it remains well below last year’s record of $4.64 a pound. Prices suffered earlier this year amid a darkening outlook for the global economy, particularly in China.
