For those of you out there that still have land lines, better known as hard-wired telephone lines, know the frustration when they are not working properly. You know the lines that buzz, crackle, pop, and whistle at you instead of being quiet and noiseless as you try to have a conversation with someone on the other end of the line. The shift has been to cell phones that can be taken everywhere, unlike the land-based models. But what is one to do if the phone at home is not working?
