The Stimulus Lives!

. . . at least in Illinois, where $ from the 2009 federal bucket of cash will be used for a geothermal installation (bolding by EleBlog) –

Governor Pat Quinn today announced more than $800,000 to install a geothermal system in the Adjutant General’s Office (AGO) Building at Springfield’s Camp Lincoln.

The funds come from the U.S. Department of Energy through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, and are part of Governor Quinn’s agenda to create jobs and drive Illinois’ economy. Contracts were recently awarded for the project following a competitive bidding process. The work addresses some of Illinois’ critical infrastructure needs and creates good construction jobs.
