Cree is growing in Durham – again. The Durham-headquartered LED maker confirms it has signed a 5-year lease on a 80,600-square-foot warehouse building on Weck Drive.
The building will “store finished products to be shipped to distributors,” says Mike Watson, vice president of product strategy at Cree, adding the addition makes the company’s total Durham presence more than 146 acres.
“As warehousing, minimal new hires would be tied to this space specifically, potentially one to two jobs, if any.”
