Looks good, eh? The numbers show May-to-May employment up 5.3% in this sector, with 158,600 people employed. According to the BLS data – which go back only to 1990 – the last time this sector had MORE employees than this in any month of May was in May 2001 (the end of the telecom/datacom boom).
And the best month ever for Electrical Distribution, in the period 1990-2013, so far? July 2000, with 165,000 employed.
